Hi everyone:
I will be have a meeting with Rochester airport around end of this week and would like to know if anyone has any problems with the airport and experience and suggestions.
Currently, the airport directors have said that they are working on below issues, the parathesis are my questions or comments:
1. They have improved Concourse A, by adding a visual paging to serve the deaf and hard of hearing passengers. And, plan to expand it through out the airport in near future. (has anyone used it?).
2. They will be focusing on adding Video Phones. Hoping to be operating around this time next year.
3. They have TTY phones located in their facility for passengers to use.
4. They have a ITY Interpretype units for all airlines, the central security checkpoint, AirCom, Airport Administration and the Visitors Services booth in baggage. We just recently completed an Airport wide, retraining of the use of Interpretype for all airlines & security screeners.
I know there are more things in between the lines that are needed.
All I am asking how Rochester community members feels about above things, of if anything is missing in that or if anything is needed to be added as well.
Please let me know, I will accept positive and negative responds.
Looking forward to hearing back from you all.
Thank you,
Dean DeRusso
