I couldn’t find a good list of resources for deaf and hard-of-hearing people in Rochester, so I did some research and put one together myself.

To see the list, just click on “Rochester Resources” at the top of the page.

I expect that this resource list will need continuous updating, so feel free to send me any updates or corrections and be sure to let me know if you notice any omissions.

New York Relay Seeks Relay Ambassadors

New York Relay Service is now accepting applications for Relay Ambassador positions in the NYC, Albany, Utica, Syracuse, and Buffalo areas. This position is a part-time, on-contract basis with specific responsibilities. We look forward to working with you!

Responsibilities include:
* Explaining Traditional Relay Services
* Expl aining Captioned Telephone Service
* Hosting events at clubs or meeting halls
* Providing presentations/Booths and/or workshops to promote New York Relay
* One-on-one training with customers/businesses on how to use New York Relay

Qualifications:
* Ability to communicate and interact with diverse population
* Excellent Customer Service Relations skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* First-rate leadership in the Deaf and/or Hard-of-Hearing Community is a plus
